A randy cat was placed on a glucose drip after mating with at least five females in just one night.

Xiaopi, a Russian Blue, was left at a pet hotel by his owners, Mr and Mrs Zhao, in Guangdong Province in South China , on October 1.

The cat was exhausted and in need of fluid therapy after having sex with five other pets.

His owner Mr Zhao said he had notified the hotel that his pet had not been neutered.

The following day, he discovered Xiaopi had been left out of his cage during the night and had mated with at least five other pets.

Mr Zhao wrote on social media: “I thought they’d be professional, but the staff member didn’t feed him during the day, and let him out to roam freely at night.

“That’s right – all the cats were free to walk around the shop, and then the employee went home.

“Between around 10.40pm and 5am, my cat mated with five female cats! And those are only the ones I could see in the CCTV footage.

“And the pet hotel had the nerve to be upset with me, saying some of the cat owners weren’t planning on having kittens. They wanted me to explain the situation to all the other owners.

“My f***ing cat is now exhausted and on a glucose drip – and this is my fault?”

The cat's owner later said the hotel apologised and offered to pay for the Russian Blue's fluid therapy.
