Queens fire injures four people, including 9-year-old girl

Four residents were seriously injured, including to 9-year-old girl, in a Queens blaze overnight, authorities said.

The inferno broke out just before 12:15 a.m. Friday at a two-story home in Woodside, and took nearly two hours for the five dozen firefighters to get under control, according to the FDNY.

Video posted to social media shows flames pouring out of the windows in the front of the house.

EMS rushed the four residents to nearby hospitals, where they were treated for life-threatening injuries, a fire spokesman said.

The 9-year-old girl and a 24-year-old woman were at Elmhurst Hospital Friday where they were in stable condition, police said.

A 56-year-old woman was taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she was remained in critical condition but was stable, police said.

Another 32-year-old woman was being treated at Bellevue Hospital for her serious injuries, police said.

All were expected to survive.

The fire was not believed to be suspicious and broke out due to an electrical issue in the home, police said.

Four firefighters were also injured battling the blaze and were treated at Elmhurst and Booth, fire officials said.
