Queen ‘thinks about Philip’ every day and ‘feels his spirit’, source says
Following the death of Prince Philip in April, an inside source has claimed the widowed Queen 'thinks about him every day'.
The couple were married for 73 years at the time of the Duke of Edinburgh's death and they had four children together – Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, and Prince Charles.
The source told the Closer Magazine: “She thinks about him every day but knows he’s looking down on her. She can feel his presence in spirit.”
The insider said the Queen "knew she'd eventually have to carry on alone", but that she wishes he "could be at her side for upcoming events".
Her Majesty, 95, has been ruling the British monarchy since 1952, during which Prince Philip was by her side the entire time.
“Her motto in life is ‘Lead by example'. The monarchy has been her life, and the public loves and respects her for it,” says the insider.
In 2022, the Queen will celebrate her 70th jubilee – the longest reign of any monarch in British history.
In the year leading up to this massive event, she will be travelling up and down the country on what is likely to be her 'farewell royal tour'.
The celebrations will include a four-day British national holiday weekend, starting from June 2, that will be filled with parties, parades and concerts.
Other members of the Royal Family will accompany her, including Prince William and Duchess Kate, along with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The source continued: "For Elizabeth, the Platinum Jubilee isn’t about herself. It’s about others. After the suffering, loss and devastation of the past year, she’s very much looking forward to seeing the nation come together in celebration."

The big jubilee weekend is also predicted to bring together other members of the Royal Family – including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who caused global controversy when they decided to depart from Royal life and move across the pond last year.
"They wouldn’t miss it for the world. Harry and Meghan are making a special trip from Los Angeles to London with [their children] Archie and Lilibet,” says the insider.
