Prince Harry spotted at President Biden inauguration – in a painting on the wall

Royal fans were delighted to spot Prince Harry at US President Joe Biden's inauguration ceremony.

The Duke of Sussex, 36, was seen in a painting hanging in the background during yesterday's Celebrating America event.

Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to identify the prince after the image was briefly visible as Biden greeted Bill and Hillary Clinton.

The picture showed him in full military uniform while visiting Arlington Ceremony in 2013, the Mail Online reports.

Prince Harry has remained friends with the first lady Dr Jill Biden after they met seven years ago while on Royal duties.

He and his wife Meghan Markle, 39, are currently residing in their $14million mansion in Santa Barbara with eighteen-month-old son Archie, after quitting as senior Royals last March.

Royal fan account @_Duchess_of_Sussex posted on Twitter: "A picture of Harry from years ago at the Arlington Cemetery was seen in the background of @Potus, Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton today.

"Harry is truly a military man through and through! So nice seeing him in the background."

It account added: "The Bidens have showed so much love for the Sussexes over the years and Kamala most recently.

"Mr and Dr Biden have been supportive of Harry’s Invictus Games event since the very first one in 2014.

"After that year, both the Bidens and Obamas continued to have a close connection to the Invictus Games."

Jill and Harry are said to have bonded over their shared military links.

The Duke spent 10 years serving in the British Army, while Jill's late stepson Beau was a major in the US Military.

She travelled solo to London for Harry's inaugural Invictus Games in 2014, where they have been pictured beaming together during several of the events.
