PRINCE Harry has struck up an unlikely friendship with Hollywood icon Liza Minnelli.

The Cabaret star, 74 has been helping him “find his feet” in Los Angeles.

It is understood the Oscar-winning actress contacted Harry, 35, after befriending his late mum, Princess Diana.

The Prince has also moved his mother-in-law, Doria Ragland, into the £8million rented home he shares with wife Meghan, 38, and one-year-old son Archie.

A friend said: “Harry has found the transition from the UK to LA very challenging at times, and lockdown hasn’t helped him establish himself yet.

“Liza reached out because she was close to Diana and offered her support.

“She’s been dealing with paparazzi for years, and knows the fame game.

“Obviously, Meghan comes from a theatrical background too, so it’s been great for the three of them.”

Liza first met Diana backstage at one of her concerts.

The four-times married American star has said: “I was lucky enough to count Princess Di as a friend.”

A 1991 photo of the pair at London’s Langham hotel, captured Diana laughing at something that Liza had whispered behind her hand.

Social worker Doria is acting as an unofficial nanny to Archie and will help the couple out if and when they plan on adding to their family.

The source said: “Doria has her own quarters and whilst a few of Harry’s chums have been ribbing him about living with his mother-in-law, he has a brilliant relationship with her.”
