Prince Harry reveals taunts about his mother's death in Army training

Prince Harry reveals he was taunted about Diana ‘being pregnant with a Muslim baby’ when she died during his military hostage training – and says instructor later apologised for going too far

  • Duke of Sussex described brutal training for Army in exercise on Bodmin Moor
  • Prince says he was stripped naked and lampooned over size of his manhood
  • Woman in headscarf then mocked his mother’s death and said she was pregnant
  • He says someone spat in his face. Exercise ended and instructor apologised

Prince Harry says he was tortured about his mother’s death and told she was pregnant with a ‘Muslim baby’ during a mock kidnap while he trained for the Army.

The Duke of Sussex, who revealed he killed 25 Taliban fighters in Afghanistan, said he was abused by a woman in a Palestinian-style headscarf on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall.

In the Spanish translation of his book ‘Spare’, the Duke of Sussex says he was abducted and tortured – including being kept awake for several days – as part of his combat training.

Describing what happened when the woman wearing a kufiyah headscarf abused him, he said: ‘She was talking about my mother. She said: “Your mother was pregnant when she died”, adding that the child was ‘a Muslim baby’ – seemingly a reference to her boyfriend Dodi Fayed’s faith.

Harry wrote that afterwards: ‘An instructor apologised for what they had said about my mother’.

Harry has revealed that in Army training he was abducted and taunted about his mother’s death and claims she was pregnant with a ‘Muslim baby’ –  seemingly a reference to her boyfriend Dodi Fayed’s faith

He said he was also stripped naked and mocked about the size of his manhood, declaring: ‘A lot of the things they did to us were illegal under the Geneva convention, but that was the goal.’

When the woman in the headscarf taunted him about his mother, Harry claims he turned his head towards her but said nothing and the woman ‘left, angry’.

EXCLUSIVE – Taliban taunts ‘big mouth loser’ Prince Harry after he revealed he killed 25 enemies in Afghanistan

The blindfolded prince said that someone then spat in his face during an interrogation where they were forced to undress by captors who ‘pointed at our limp c***s, and talked endlessly about how small they were’.

After he was verbally abused he was dragged into another room where he was told the exercise was over.

Harry wrote: ‘An instructor apologised for what they had said about my mother’, adding: ‘I found out that two other soldiers who had done the same exercise had gone crazy’.

One of the main conspiracies following Diana’s death was that she was killed because she was pregnant. But the former coroner of the Queen’s Household, John Burton, said he attended a post-mortem examination of the Princess’s body at Fulham mortuary in 1997, where he personally examined her womb and found no child.

Harry said the exercise began when they were on Bodmin Moor and a group wearing camouflage jackets and black balaclavas appeared. He said that at the time he feared he was being targeted by the IRA, who killed his relative Lord Mountbatten.

He said he was taked to a set of buildings, and he went without sleep for 72 hours. He was blindfolded, stripped naked, along with other men, where he was forced to stand and sit in uncomfortable positions until he ‘struggled to breathe’. It was then the captors mocked his mother’s death before he was released.

Members of the Taliban have expressed their fury over Prince Harry’s claims that he killed 25 ‘chess pieces’ during his second deployment in Afghanistan. The Duke of Sussex undertook two tours of Afghanistan. In his memoir, he says he did not think of those killed ‘as people’ but instead ‘chess pieces’ he had taken off the board prompting anger from the Taliban

Harry’s description of his training came as the Taliban accused him of war crimes after he revealed he killed 25 enemy ‘chess pieces’ during his deployment in Afghanistan, in his tell-all memoir Spare.

Veterans say Duke should never have revealed Taliban kills

And former British Army Colonel Richard Kemp called it: ‘A betrayal of the people he fought alongside’.

Speaking to MailOnline, the Taliban taunted the Prince, saying they had the last laugh over the West and the ‘big mouth loser’ Duke of Sussex – who ‘fled to his grandmother’s palace’ – by recapturing the country in 2021.

The Taliban said while their Mujaheddin ‘chess pieces’ are the ultimate victors of the conflict, Harry is struggling to maintain a place in the Royal Family, in response to the claims made in the soon-to-be-released book.

The angry response from the Taliban followed criticism of the Duke from military veterans and MPs for his battleground revelations, with one calling his writing a ‘betrayal of the people he fought alongside’.

Speaking from a checkpoint outside Islam Qala, a town on the border with Iran, Taliban commander Molavi Agha Gol, 32, said that he thought Harry was attention seeking. ‘We are still here ruling but he has fled to his grandmother’s palace. He’s a big mouth loser who has been trying to get attention,’ Agha Gol said.

‘I do not even believe what he said about the Mujaheddin. He is a loser and scared to go to a combat zone. We made history by kicking him and his army out of our homeland and he should be very angry about that,’ he said.

‘Do not believe whatever losers tell you. I see news about him a lot on my Facebook feed and really think he’s gone mad and needs a doctor immediately,’ he added.

‘Even if he believes [that he killed 25 Taliban], our martyred Mujaheddin are in heaven, but his invading friends are burning in hell and I really hope I was in Helmand when he was there, to make him understand what real chess pieces are.’

Prince Harry reveals he took cocaine a ‘few times’ aged 17 after first being ‘offered a line’

‘If he’s a real man and not a f***ing loser, come to Afghanistan again,’ Agha Gol challenged the Duke of Sussex.

Prince Harry claimed in his memoir that he killed 25 Taliban fighters during his second tour of duty in Afghanistan. The memoir is the latest in a string of public revelations and accusations by Harry and Meghan that have shaken the royal family.

Harry, who was known as ‘Captain Wales’ in the military, wrote that he did not think of those killed ‘as people’ but instead ‘chess pieces’ he had taken off the board.

‘You can’t kill people if you see them as people’, he wrote, and said he instead saw them as ‘chess pieces removed from the board’… as ‘bad guys eliminated’.

‘Pieces of chess are now in power and he’s struggling to maintain his place within his own family,’ an official in the Taliban’s Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, said in response.

Abul Qahar Balkhi, spokesman for the Taliban ministry of foreign affairs, said in a statement: ‘The western occupation of Afghanistan is truly an odious moment in human history and comments by Prince Harry are a microcosm of the trauma experienced by Afghans at the hands of occupation forces who murdered innocents without any accountability.

‘Some of the recent reports highlighting the scale of murder by foreign airpower and raids including by UK forces is what Prince Harry also participated in,’ he added.

Harry spent a decade in the British Army before taking up full-time royal duties in 2015. During that time, he did two tours of Afghanistan.

Abul Qahar Balkhi (pictured, file photo), spokesman for the Taliban ministry of foreign affairs, was one of the Taliban to respond to Prince Harry’s claims. ‘The western occupation of Afghanistan is truly an odious moment in human history and comments by Prince Harry are a microcosm of the trauma experienced by Afghans at the hands of occupation forces,’ he said

The prince was first deployed to Helmand province as a forward air controller in 2007, but his first tour of duty was cut short. He returned in 2012.

Spare is the first time that Harry, 38, has specified the number of insurgents he personally killed during his time in Afghanistan. The Prince said that he flew on six missions that resulted in the ‘taking of human lives’ in his autobiography – which leaked in Spain days before its official release date.

While many soldiers do not know how many enemies they have killed in combat, the Duke wrote that ‘in the era of Apaches and laptops’ he was able to say ‘with exactness’ the number of insurgents he killed.

‘It’s him claiming that he martyred the Taliban, but it may be civilians too. If England has a system and regulations, they should investigate and see whom he killed,’ Molavi Keramudin, a Taliban commander in the central city of Ghor.

‘He is a so-called prince and should not freely walk after killing civilians. It is not acceptable. He has problems and is just climbing over whatever he can to stop himself and his country’s falling into sh*t,’ he said.

After learning how to fly Apache helicopters, Harry was deployed to Camp Bastion in southern Afghanistan in 2012 where he stayed for 20 weeks. While there, Harry helped provide helicopter support to the International Security Assistance Force and Afghan forces operating throughout Helmand province.

Based out of Camp Bastion, 662 Squadron Army Air Corps, to which he belonged, flew more than a hundred deliberate missions over 2,500 flying hours.

‘I remember when Mujaheddin attacked Shorabak [Camp Bastion], when I got to know he was there, I regretted a lot why I was not there,’ Jamal Mujahid, a member of the Taliban army’s Badri Unit – a suicide squad in the southern province of Kandahar.

‘I wish I was in that operation. I challenge him to come back to Afghanistan. If he’s proud of killing 25 of us, we killed thousands of them and kicked them out,’ he added.

In the summer of 2021, the Taliban took control of Afghanistan with a lighting offensive that swept across the country in a matter of weeks, overthrowing the Western-backed government that was installed by the US, UK and their allies.

Leaders of the Western backed government fled the country as Western coalition forces pulled out of the country, culminating in the collape of the Afghan military and the Taliban capturing Kabul on August 15, 2021.

Despite promising a more progressive regime than when they were last in power in 2001, the Taliban have eroded the rights of women and minority groups in the country, most recently banning women from attending university – a move that drew fierce condemnation from the international community.

Molavi Nabi Jan, a Taliban official in the western Afghan city of Herat, said: ‘He’s a dirty idiot and a drunk jackal. He has destroyed all bridges behind him and is now just trying to avoid drowning in history.

‘Using the Taliban and his family is his last tool to make people talk about him. I know him very well. God left him on his own to give him a very big punishment at the end.’

‘He’s evil. God damn him, his family and his palaces. He’s made lots of Afghan women widows and lots of children orphans and he’s proud of that,’ an official in the provincial governor of the southern Helmand province told MailOnline.
