Prince Harry ‘milking every last drop of profit out of Megxit saga’, says expert

Prince Harry's latest bombshell from his upcoming book Spare shows he's “willing to milk every last drop of profit” out of fleeing the UK, a royal expert has warned.

A copy of Harry's upcoming autobiography Spare was obtained by The Guardian with an excerpt of the book detailing Harry talking about an intense argument he had with William over his wife Meghan Markle.

Occurring in 2019, the Prince of Wales is said to have called his sister-in-law "difficult", "rude" and "abrasive".

The increasingly heated row between the two brothers culminated into a physical altercation, the book claims.

In one staggering extract, Harry writes that William "grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and… knocked me to the floor".

He wrote: "He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me.

"It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor.

"I landed on the dog's bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out."

The Duke of Sussex wrote that William told him to hit him back, an offer he said he refused as William left before returning and apologising.

And this story, Daniela Elser claims, shows that Harry is “milking” the entire situation.

Writing in news.com.au, she said: “At this point, it is only starting to look like Harry is willing to milk every last drop of sympathy and profit from the couple’s turbulent 20 months from their ‘fairytale’ wedding to their Brothers Grimm-worthy exit.

“And that’s the thing – as of Monday it will be three years or 36 months exactly since they shockingly quit royal life. That is nearly twice the length of time – those 20 months – that the Sussexes actually logged as a working royal duo.

“How many more years are they going to spend mining that very limited time period for personal and financial gain?

“Today, Spare looks less like an exercise in personal catharsis and more like a point scoring and money-making ploy.”

The Daily Star has reached out to Prince Harry's team and Kensington Palace for a comment.
