Prince Harry jokes delights youngsters as he arrives to open Dagenham youth centre
A CHEEKY-looking Prince Harry delighted youngsters in East London as he arrived to open a £6m youth centre in Dagenham today.
The Duke of Sussex – expected to become a father in the coming weeks – joked around with kids as he cut the ribbon on the Future Youth Zone, in Parsloes Park.
The state-of-the-art facility boasts an indoor climbing wall, a 3G pitch, a dance studio, a recording studio, a gym, an arts an crafts studio, and a fully-equipped training kitchen.
It was funded by national charity OnSide – who raised the £6.15m construction costs usign grants, local donations, and private sector contributions.
Kathryn Morley, Chief Executive of OnSide Youth Zones said: "We are delighted to be recognised as an important charity for young people by The Duke of Sussex and look forward to showing him the type of tremendous youth provision coming to London this year.
"What young people need now more than ever is somewhere safe and inspiring to spend their leisure time.

"They need affordable access to fun and engaging activities and opportunities which will allow them to discover their talents, develop their skills and realise their full potential – this ambition is the driving force behind OnSide Youth Zones."
It comes after Kensington Palace announced the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will keep the birth of their first born private until they have had an opportunity to celebrate as a family.
In a statement the palace said: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.
"Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.
"The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family."
