Prince Andrew told Ghislaine Maxwell 'everything Virginia Roberts says is a lie', bombshell court docs say

PRINCE Andrew branded sex slave Virginia Roberts "a liar" claiming "everything she said is a lie", bombshell court docs reveal.

The explosive claim was made by Ghislaine Maxwell – the royal's longtime friend and the alleged former "madam" of paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

According to the legal docs, Andrew spoke to the socialite on the phone about Virginia who publicly claims she was forced to have sex with the Duke of York three times.

Prince Andrew denies all allegations of misconduct made against him and says he does not remember ever meeting Ms Roberts.

And in the 465-page legal document, part of a defamation case brought by Virginia against Maxwell in 2015, the socialite spoke about a conversation she had with the royal about his accuser.

The exchange began with an email, which was revealed by the BBC last year, in which Andrew asked Maxwell: "Let me know when we can talk. Got some specific questions to ask you about Virginia Roberts."

Ghislaine replied: "Have some info. Call me when you have a moment."

When the lawyer asks Maxwell what she discussed with the Duke, she said: "Just what a liar she is."

According to the legal docs, the socialite claimed Andrew discussed "What a liar she is."

She continued: "I don't think he told me why she was a liar.

"The substance of everything that she said was a lie with regard to him."

Maxwell is said to have added: "She is a liar" – A term she used no less than 28 times when referring to Ms Roberts in the deposition.

In the court docs, the 58-year-old claimed she did not remember Virginia being in London with her or staying at her home in the city.

That's despite a photograph showing them both together with Andrew in Ghislaine's West London home in 2001 – an image which the Duke has cast doubt over.

Ms Roberts claims she slept with the royal the same night the photograph was taken when she was aged 17 – an allegation the prince denies.

Flight logs also show that Maxwell travelled to the city with Virginia.

Maxwell was arrested on July 2 in Bradford, New Hampshire, where authorities said she was hiding on a property she bought in December in an all-cash transaction with her identity shielded.

She is locked up in a Brooklyn jail after the judge in her criminal case called her an unacceptable flight risk.

The Brit pleaded not guilty to helping Epstein recruit and groom underage girls as young as 14 and not guilty to perjury after having denied involvement in the alleged trafficking scheme under oath.

On Monday, the Manhattan circuit court of appeals rejected an argument by Maxwell that the files from her lawsuit with Virginia could impede her defence and this week the tranche of documents was made public.

A trial is scheduled for July 2021.

Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his New York jail cell last August where he was being held on charges of sex trafficking minors.

His death was officially ruled as suicide.
