Porn star Jessica Jaymes died of a seizure as a result of chronic alcohol abuse, a coroner has ruled.

Jaymes, 43, was found dead at her home in Los Angeles, California in September this year.

According to LA County Coroner's Office, the adult actress-turned reality TV star died of a massive seizure brought on by her years of heavy drinking.

The prolific porn actress, who starred in over 236 films, had her death ruled as "natural".

In the report, it states one of the contributing factors to the porn star's death is "chronic ethanol abuse", or alcohol abuse.

She was found unresponsive at her home by a friend on 17 September who called an ambulance.

Emergency services received a call about a cardiac arrest but Jessica – born Jessica Redding – was pronounced dead at the scene.

She is reported to have suffered seizures in the past.

Her home on Hayvenhurst Avenue, Encino, was on the same street as Michael Jackson's childhood home.

Before beginning her adult film career in 2002, Jessica worked for three years as a teacher.

In 2004, she was signed by Hustler and was named their "Honey of the Year" the following year.

Outside of porn, she appeared as herself on several episodes of the Showtime series Weeds as well as on Celebrity Rehab Sober House.

In her last Instagram post just days before her death, Jessica shared a picture of herself topless while getting her hair and makeup done.

She wrote: "Hey guys took a little vacation for a couple of days I love you all apologies and I hope everyone is having the best sex time of their life!"

Jessica died without a will and had a net worth of reportedly $400k (£309,680).

Her husband, Nadir Maraschin, is asking to be named as the administrator of her estate, allowing him to handle all of her affairs, including financial royalties she may be owed from her films.

The four-bedroom two-bathroom home the couple shared in the California hills is also estimated as worth around $600k (£464,433).
