Police seek help in identifying assault suspect in Lower Sackville bar fight

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who was allegedly involved in an assault at a bar in Lower Sackville, N.S., in January.

Nova Scotia RCMP say on Jan. 27 just after 2 a.m., officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a bar on Sackville Drive.

Police say several of the people involved in the disturbance had left by the time they arrived, but said their investigation revealed that a man was assaulted by two other men.

The victim was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

One of the suspects has been identified as 20-year-old Treyton Alexander Marsman of Lakeside. He was arrested without incident on Feb. 20, and appeared in Dartmouth provincial court later that day on charges of assault and breach of recognizance.

Police say he was remanded in custody until his next appearance on March 13.

The second suspect has not yet been identified and police are requesting the public’s help. He’s described as in his mid-20s and six-feet tall with black hair and facial hair.

Anyone with information on the suspect or the incident is asked to contact Nova Scotia RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
