Police probe three more stabbings including two potentially linked attacks in north London as the capital’s knife crime bloodbath continues

  • London’s bloodbath continued as three more people were stabbed in the capital
  • Two men were both stabbed in Kilburn this morning in attacks that may be linked
  • Third man, in his 20s, was stabbed in his leg in Walthamstow, north east London

Three more people have been stabbed in London today, including two in the north of the capital in potentially linked attacks.

A man in his 20s was stabbed in his leg on High Street in Walthamstow, north east London, following reports of a fight at around 4.30pm.

Two other men were attacked in Kilburn, north west London this morning, with one, 63, stabbed in the back at around 1.19am, before a second, aged 39, was stabbed in the stomach a short time later.

The latest day of bloodshed in the capital comes after a man in his 20s was killed in a gun and knife attack in East London last night.

None of the three victims of today’s stabbings are in a life-threatening condition and no arrests have yet been made.

Detective Sergeant Mark Johnson, from North West Area’s CID, said of the two Kilburn stabbings: ‘At this early stage in the investigation, we are keeping an open mind as to whether the two incidents are linked and there is a team of officers working around the clock who are carrying out patrols, CCTV footage enquiries and speaking to witnesses.

‘I would appeal to any witnesses or any motorists who may have dash cam footage of the incidents who have not yet come forward to contact police urgently. Any information, no matter how small, will greatly assist us in this investigation.

‘Officers are currently conducting extra reassurance patrols in the area, and anyone with any concerns can speak to officers on the street, go to a police station or call 101 or Crimestoppers.

‘If you are out and about in Kilburn High Street and the surrounding area I would ask you to remain vigilant, be aware of your surroundings and, if you see anything suspicious, call police immediately on 999.’

‘Despite the efforts of medics, the male died at the scene,’ the force said. An increased police presence was deployed in the area on Monday night as an investigation began.

The area surrounding the scene was sealed off and murder detectives were notified.
