Woman, 46, goes missing in County Tyrone: Police appeal to track down the woman last seen yesterday afternoon

• Claire Rock, 46, was last seen in Moy, County Tyrone at 2pm on August 22
• Police say they have become increasingly concerned about Ms Rock’s welfare 

Northern Ireland’s police force are searching for a 46-year-old woman who has gone missing in County Tyrone. 

Claire Rock, 46, was last seen in the Square area of the village of Moy at around 2pm on Tuesday. 

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have now published photos of Ms Rock and said they have increasingly concerned for her welfare. 

The force said Ms Rock, who was described as being short in stature, was last seen with her hair in a bun and carrying a large black bag over her shoulder.   

Police are now asking local homeowners in the Moy area to check their gardens, outbuilding, and vehicles for the missing woman.

The police force also called on anyone with information, including anyone who may have given Ms Rock a lift, to contact them. 

The BBC reported that police and coastguards had previously been searching the River Blackwater, which runs through County Tyrone. 

The coastguard have now been stood down but there remains a significant police presence by the water, according to The BBC. 

New photos released by police showed Ms Rock with her hair in a bun wearing a Led Zeppelin t-shirt. 

A separate photo of Ms Rock showed her wearing jeans and a white t-shirt carrying a black bag over her shoulder.  

‘If you know of Claire’s whereabouts, or have any information, or if you perhaps gave her a lift, please contact police as soon as possible quoting reference number 1176 of 22/08/23,’ a spokesperson said.
