Unlucky dip! Plasterer, 32, misses out on £1MILLION EuroMillions win after his nurse girlfriend changed their regular numbers to a lucky dip
- Jacob Simon, 32, of Leicester, would have won £1,071,420 with normal numbers
- Girlfriend Chantelle Avossa, 29, decided to change numbers without telling him
- Mr Simon said: ‘We haven’t slept at all. We’ve fallen out a bit’
A man has ‘fallen out’ with his girlfriend after he missed out on winning £1million when she changed his regular numbers without telling him.
Jacob Simon, 32, of Leicester, would have matched all five main numbers and one of the two lucky stars with his normal numbers.
But girlfriend Chantelle Avossa, 29, decided to change the numbers he usually picks to a lucky dip.

Ms Avossa, who has a three-year-old son with Mr Simon, said she changed the numbers because their regular ones hadn’t got them a win all year.
Had she kept the same numbers the pair would have split £7.5million with six EuroMillions winners, taking home £1,071,420.
Mr Simon, a plasterer, told The Sun: ‘I feel sick. The more I think about it the more I can’t believe it.

Until Ms Avossa changed their numbers, the couple had chosen 14, 20, 27, 34, 38 and lucky stars 2 and 11.
All of them apart from number 2 came up on Friday’s draw.
When Ms Avossa saw the draw unfold she told Mr Simon what she had done and said: ‘You are going to kill me.’
The most anyone from the UK won on Friday was £9,243 and the pot will rollover to Tuesday.
