Pedophile faints after being sentenced to 260 years for molesting newborn baby

A pedophile convicted of crimes whose ‘depravity is beyond comprehension’ collapsed with shock as he was jailed for 260 years for molesting a newborn baby.

Thomas Goodman, 45, fell forward onto a table inside the courtroom in Providence, Rhode Island, Friday, as Judge John McConnell passed a sentence 160 years longer than the prosecutor had asked for.

He came around a few minutes later, and sat groggily as Judge McConnell handed him eight 30 year sentences and one 20 year stretch, all to be served consecutively.

During a subsequent raid, police established that Goodman was in possession of around 7,800 abuse images and 370 child porn videos.

Of those, at least 135 photos and 62 videos involved prepubescent children, and had been created by Goodman between September 2007 and February 2018.

Goodman admitted eight charges of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child porn.

Prosecutor Lee Vilker said Goodman’s crimes were ‘by far the worst’ he had ever dealt with.

He said the pedophile had caused his victims ‘harm…they’ll never get past’ and ‘scarred them permanently.’

Goodman’s lawyer Matthew Dawson asked for his client to be given a 22 year sentence, and said the pedophile had himself been abused by a teacher when he was a child.

The jailed pervert whispered ‘I have no excuse for this,’ shortly before he was sent down.

And Judge McConnell agreed, telling him: ‘The only way I can do that is to be sure you never get out of prison again.

‘I have no assurances you will stop.’
