Pair arrested in downtown Kitchener driving truck reported stolen in London
Waterloo Regional Police made a pair of arrests over the weekend after pulling over a pickup truck in downtown Kitchener with the wrong plates.
Police say they pulled over the vehicle at around 9:44 a.m. at the intersection of Weber Street East and Scott Street.
It was then discovered that the truck had been reported stolen in London, Ont.
The occupants of the vehicle, a 32-year-old London man and a 43-year-old Brantford man were arrested and charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.
Police then conducted a further search and say they found cocaine, heroin, crystal methamphetamine and hydromorphone.
The Brantford man has also been charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking.
