One suspect arrested in Dollar General shooting that injured two
Police have arrested 48-year-old Johnny McCaslin, a suspect for a shooting that occurred at a Dollar General store in Arvada.
The incident happened on Sheridan Boulevard, just north of Denver’s Regis neighborhood, before 9:30 a.m Tuesday.
Two people were shot while leaving; neither’s condition is known.
Right before 9 p.m. Thursday, McCaslin and a woman were brought into custody after police attempted to serve the arrest warrant for several hours. The arrest occurred in the 6100 block of Olde Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada as residents nearby were briefly cleared from the area.
Police say that the Jefferson County SWAT unit was relieved by the Denver Metro SWAT team and to help take the suspect into custody.
