An Olympic gold-medal-winning rhythmic gymnast long rumored to have had twins with Russian President Vladimir Putin has disappeared from public view, according to a report.

Alina Kabaeva, 37, who reportedly gave birth to boys in April 2019 at a Moscow clinic, has not been seen since she was two months’ pregnant, The Sun reported.

Putin, who has two adult children with his ex-wife Lyudmila Shkrebneva, has insisted he had no relationship with Kabaeva, a former deputy in his United Russia Party.

“Putin is an intensely private man. He has been hiding his two adult daughters under fake IDs for years,” a Moscow source told the news outlet.

“Even now, though he talks about them occasionally, he never names them,” the source added. “If Alina gave birth to his children, her hiding away might be one of the strongest hints pointing to this. He is obsessive about the security of his family.”

Kabaeva, who once posed semi-naked in a magazine, is the chairwoman of the board of directors of the National Media Group, which won an exclusive contract to deliver Netflix content, The Sun reported.

She won two Olympic medals, 14 World Championship medals and 25 European Championship medals.
Rumors about her romance with the Russian leader first emerged in 2008.
