A shocking image uploaded to Facebook by Olivia Pratt-Korbel’s killer Thomas Cashman shows him ‘assassinating’ the late Queen in a sick wax museum prank.

Cashman, 34, was convicted earlier today at Manchester Crown Court of the murder of nine-year-old Olivia, as well as the attempted murder of gangland rival Joseph Nee.

The photo of a grinning Cashman pretending to shoot the Queen in an “execution-style” killing was uploaded some years ago, but can only now be published.

In a three-week trial, the court heard how Cashman armed himself with two pistols and "lay in wait" for Nee after Liverpool FC v Manchester United football match

David McLachlan KC, prosecuting, told jurors that how Cashman had "murder on his mind" and stood over his helpless help and attempted to shoot him as Nee begged: "Please don't. Don't lad”.

Cashman’s pistol had jammed, giving Nee a moment’s respite.

It was at this point that Olivia’s mother, Cheryl Korbel, opened her front door to find out what was happening.

As Nee ran towards the open door Cheryl backed away, but as she tried to close the door Nee barged in.

Cheryl was unable to get the door completely closed and Cashman drew his second pistol and fired at his target.

That fateful shot passed through the door and travelling through Cheryl’s hand before striking Olivia – who had just come downstairs from her bedroom – in the chest.

The child was rushed to nearby Alder Hey Children's Hospital by two police officers attending the scene but was pronounced dead at 11.24pm that night.

In court, Cashman had pleaded not guilty to the murder of Olivia, the attempted murder of Nee and to wounding Olivia's mum Cheryl with intent to inflict GBH.

But during the trial, the jury was played a video interview with a woman who claimed Cashman attended her home in the aftermath of the shooting.

She had implicated him in the shooting by telling police he changed clothes at her house.

He was found guilty on all counts. The jury came to unanimous verdicts on all charges. Cash will return to court on Monday for sentencing.
