Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis tests positive for coronavirus

The owner of Championship club Nottingham Forest has tested positive for coronavirus.

Evangelos Marinakis, who also owns Olympiacos, made the announcement in an emotional statement in Instagram.

The statement read: “The recent virus has visited me and I felt obliged to let the public know.

“I feel good as I take all the necessary measures and I discipline to the doctors’ instructions.

“I strongly advise all my fellow citizens to do the same. I wish all a quick recovery."

Followers rushed to wish him a speedy recovery with messages wishing him well.

Forest currently lie in fifth place in the Championship, within the play-off places.
