No new cases of coronavirus in Victoria
Victoria has recorded no community transmission of COVID-19 for the 46th day in a row and there are no new cases of the virus in hotel quarantine.
There are still seven active cases among overseas arrivals in hotels. The results are based on more than 8200 tests over the past day.
Outside of hotel quarantine, Victoria remains COVID-free. The state has recorded its 46th day in a row without any community transmission of the virus.
On Monday, there was just one new case of coronavirus detected in hotel quarantine.
Overseas, the largest vaccination campaign in US history has begun as health workers in select hospitals received shots to help protect them from COVID-19.
Sandra Lindsay, a critical care nurse in New York, was the first to receive the vaccine.
In the UK, London will be plunged back into the highest level of coronavirus restrictions, as health authorities also study a new variant of COVID-19.
