New Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to be cheered on by stunning model WAG

Arsenal's new manager Mikel Arteta will be in the stands watching his new side in today's clash against Everton.

And the Gooners' incoming boss, 37, is expected to be cheered on by his wife of more than 10 years, former Miss Spain Lorena Bernal.

The incoming boss' longtime partner Bernal has been a model since she was 17, after growing up in the San Sebastián area of Spain.

The gorgeous model was crowned the winner of the Miss Spain beauty pageant in 1999 – all before she became an adult.

Still too young to compete in Miss Universe, Bernal chose to compete in Miss World instead, where she was counted among the final 10 contestants.

She has worked successfully as a TV host and actress – including a guest role on CSI: Miami as a nanny.

The talented mother-of-three speaks a number of languages, including English, Spanish and French.

She and Mikel had their first child, Gabriel, in 2009, followed by Daniel, in 2012, and Oliver in 2015.

Speaking ahead of the game, Arteta called for a change in "energy" at the club, saying the team had lost its way since he left in 2016.

He said: "I have so much respect for this club, if I didn't feel I am ready and prepared for this I wouldn't be sitting in this chair.

"It was always a dream for me.

The day I made a decision to leave this football club I said to the people that I am going outside, I am going to learn, get prepared and hopefully one day I can come back here when I feel I am ready."

Arteta served as club captain and won the FA Cup twice in a five-year playing career with the Gunners.

Arsenal sit 10th in the Premier League following a home defeat to Manchester City last Sunday.
