Naturists who ‘outraged’ pubgoers tell locals ‘the drinks are on us’

A pair of naturists who shocked pub-goers by walking into a bar in all their glory have put cash behind the bar for locals to have a party.

Neil Cox, 34, and Danielle Quiggan, 35, left drinkers at The Railway stunned when they called in stark naked.

Some locals in Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset were quick to condemn them – including one person saying they were "outraged".

The owners of The Railway have since received some criticism and abuse online for letting the pair eat in the buff.

But as a token of gratitude for their hospitality, Neil and Danielle have since set up a Crowdfunder to support the pub.

They also want to buy the community that supported them some free beers following their visit.

Writing on their crowdfunding page, the pair said: "We're Neil and Danielle, two naturists that live a mostly naked life and have spent a lot of time naked in more public places.

"There was a lovely pub in Burnham that let us in recently, and has received a lot of press attention as a result of our visit there naked, and a few (probably fake) TripAdvisor reviews.

"The owners are meant to be on holiday at the moment and aren't used to the media attention (and other comments they're getting) and so are finding it a little stressful.

"Throughout all of this they've continued to back their decision to allow us in.

"Some of the locals are organising a get together in the pub to show support and we want to show them that we value their support and put some money behind the bar, and if the owners want to, turn that into a positive news story.

"We've contributed £250 and are hoping that we'll be able to hit £500."

Neil's wish has already been more than granted with £1,210 already raised.
