Doctors confirmed the man’s penis had been partly amputated, and partly torn off.

He is believed to be in a stable condition in hospital and it remains unclear if his penis was reattached.

Local officials confirmed that tests for drugs and alcohol came back negative.

The bizarre incident comes just weeks after a British national was picked up by cops in Zaragoza in a similar incident.

The 33-year-old was found wandering the streets with his penis in a plastic bag, claiming he had chopped it off at home in early March.

He was found bleeding heavily in the town centre, and had allegedly advertised online for a candidate to film him mutilating himself.

Investigators say he may have been under the influence of drugs, or could be suffering mental health problems.

It is claimed that the operation to reattach his manhood was successful but it is not known if the penis is in good working order as yet.
