A murder probe has been launched in Essex after a young motorcyclist was killed in a ‘targeted hit-and-run’.
Police were scrambled to Marine Parade in Harwich at around 2.45pm yesterday to reports of a BMW and a motorbike being involved in a crash.
They found the motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, unconscious before paramedics battled to save his life.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and detectives have now launched a murder investigation into what they believe was a deliberate attack on the rider. No arrests have been made.

A woman in her 80s who was walking on the road nearby was also injured and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Two men were seen leaving the scene and are thought to have been in the BMW. Now officers are looking to trace the pair to speak to them.
They are also appealing for anyone who may have seen the men following the crash on Marine Parade in Harwich, Essex to come forward.
Officers need anyone who saw what happened, have CCTV or dash cam footage, or have any other information about the incident or what led up to it to come forward.
