Mother and baby trapped in burning building ‘set on fire by yellow vests’
A frantic mum was trapped in a burning building with her baby after it was set alight by yellow vest protesters, according to reports.
Terrifying video emerged showing the desperate mother waving to the police from a bank in the upmarket Champs-Elysees area of Paris.
Thick black smoke can be seen billowing from the bui8lding as firefighters and armed police tried to rescue the woman and her nine-month-old baby.
Panicked bystanders can be seen shouting up to the petrified woman.
Thankfully, she escaped with the help of emergency services a short time later.
The fire was started by a group of yellow vest protesters who targeted the banking agency Banque Tarneaud, which was directly beneath the woman's home, on Saturday, March 16.
It was part of the latest anti-government riot to have hit Paris recently.
Florian Lointier, spokesman for Paris firefighters, said the flames were at risk of engulfing the family's floor, reported Sky News.
A total of 11 people suffered minor injuries, including two firefighters.

Armed police have clashed with the yellow vests, who first began violent demonstrations four months ago.
