More than 25 Grand River Transit bus routes will be altered when ION trains get up and running
When the ION light rail trains finally get up and running, they will cause a large shift in how Grand River Transit bus routes operate.
On Wednesday night, Waterloo regional council approved changes to more than 25 Grand River Transit bus routes to create connections to the rail network.
Some routes will cease to exist entirely while others will be created.
In addition, the region says that 19 routes will see more frequent service while 16 routes will have increased hours of service.
In March, the Grand River Transit web site will feature a new online trip planner called “My New Ride” and a new customer service centre will open in downtown Kitchener in May.
