Two more people have now been charged with first-degree murder in the death of 33-year-old Aldane Mesquita, whose body was found east of Edmonton last summer.

According to police, Mesquita’s body was found on a rural property in Strathcona County on Sept. 13, 2018. His death was ruled a homicide on Dec. 20.

In a news release issued on Tuesday, the RCMP said 30-year-old Tyson Richard Clark, who is currently in the Drumheller Institution, and 30-year-old Jean Leon Musoni of Edmonton have been charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault in connection with the death.

The charges against Clark and Musoni mean six people have now been charged in relation to the incident; Omar Abdirizak, Omar Clement Fofie and Roger Rurangwa have also been charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault while Mohammed Jawara has been charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping.

Police are still looking for 35-year-old Christian Nyabirungu of Edmonton. He is wanted for first-degree murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault.

Nyabirungu is six-foot-two and 240 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

“Nyabirungu has ties to Edmonton, North Battleford, Sask., and has family in Montréal,” the RCMP said in a news release. “If you come into contact with this individual, please do not approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous.”
