THIS is the moment a Miami cop accidentally tasered his colleague as they tried to arrest a suspected drug dealer.

A spokeswoman for the Miami Police Department said the officers, who were not named, were trying to detain Riboberto Castillo, 26, a homeless man with a long criminal record, on January 4.

Castillo, who was high on crack cocaine, according to the police, resisted arrest causing the officer to accidentally stun his partner.

The footage shows the tasered officer initially fall to the ground but quickly gets back up and continues with the arrest of Castillo.

The police said the officer was not injured in the incident.

The taser was also used on the suspect but he continued to resist the officers.

Castillo can be heard screaming “Stop it” and “You’re doing this for no reason”.

He was eventually taken into custody and charged with drug possession and resisting arrest.

The Miami Police spokewoman said that Castillo was punched several times during the arrest but claimed he was not injured.

The arrest took place in Miami’s Little Havana neighbourhood when Castillo was spotted giving a crack pipe to another man, Lazaro Perez, according to the police report.

Perez, 57, fled the scene as Castillo was arrested but was picked up by the cops the following day and arrested on drug and weapons charges.
