A missing mum’s body was found burnt in a bin bag just days after she pleaded with neighbours for help when her husband allegedly assaulted her.
The charred remains of Vanessa Rodrigues da Silva, 31, were left in a farm in Novo Planalto, near the Brazilian region of Goiás.
She first went missing on August 11, after an alleged assault by her husband left her begging the community to rescue her, reports The Sun.
Her panicked family rang the cops after they spent five days looking for their loved one.
The main suspect – Vanessa’s husband – was arrested for unlawful possession of a gun and ammunition.
He paid bail and walked out of the police station, but when officers found the burnt, lifeless body on the farm he became a wanted man and has since been on the run.
Devastated sister Genilva Rodrigues da Silva told Brazilian outlet G1 of her pain and said she was tasked with confirming the identity.
She said: ''He burned her and put her in two garbage bags. At the door of the farm in the yard.

"We even went there before the police too. We saw this bag there, but we didn't even imagine what was inside.''
Distraught Genilva said her sister was in a rocky relationship that had lasted for 15 years.
The couple had separated for the past year and the husband was plagued by jealousy to the point he wouldn’t let her work.

"We in the family always thought he was weird," she continued.
"He had a strong eye for the women in the family and was jealous of Vanessa's own nephews."
The tragic kids, left without a mum at the age of five and 11, will stay with their grandmother until the case progresses.
Other members of Vanessa’s family, including her niece Beatriz Ferreira, demanded the man's arrest to ''ease the family's pain.''

''He will never be able to pay for what he did, but with him in jail, we will be calmer.''
