Missing boy, 6, who disappeared on his way to school in Gloucestershire found safe and well after search

A MISSING six-year-old boy who vanished on his way to school has been found safe and well.

Police launched a frantic search for Jacob James, was last seen at around 8.30am today in Coleford, Gloucestershire.

Police said they were concerned for his welfare and asked for anyone with information to come forward.

But they have now confirmed Jacob has been found.

Gloucestershire Police said: "We're pleased to confirm that six-year-old Jacob, who was reported missing earlier this morning, has been found safe and well.

"Thank you to everyone who has shared our post."

Jacob was described as 4ft tall with blond hair.

He was last seen wearing a green camouflage jumper, black Adidas jogging bottoms and green camouflage shoes.

Gloucestershire Police said earlier: Jacob James was last seen in Tufthorn Road as he was heading to school at 8.30am today (Friday 19 March).

"Officers are growing concerned for his welfare and would like to speak to anyone with information about his whereabouts.

"Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting incident 107 of 19 March."
