The UK is set to be swallowed in another round of yellow weather warnings, as Brits are made to wait for an uptick in temperatures amid snow, ice and heavy rain. From 4pm today, parts of Cumbria and western Scotland have been identified as being particularly icy. Meanwhile north west Scotland the Shetland and Orkney islands are set for snow and ice.
Wednesday sees Met Office weather warnings extended to most of Scotland as well as swathes of northern England, with widespread snowfall expected. Northern Ireland has a separate weather warning for heavy rain.
Roll on to Thursday and the band of weather warning extends as far south as Nottingham and also includes most of Wales with significant downpours expected.
