Meghan Markle’s desire to return to entertainment ‘never been stronger’ – source
Meghan Markle could be seeking a return to the “entertainment industry” as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have an “ambition to make money”, according to an insider.
Prince Harry and Meghan have made numerous deals with global media companies, including Spotify and Netflix, since leaving royal working life.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly been “tapped up” by both business and individuals for endorsement in return for “essentially blank cheques”.
Meghan was in the world of entertainment before meeting Harry, having spent her career as an actress in hit TV shows such as Suits.
The couple have recently come under pressure over Spotify after several musicians pulled music from the streaming service due to Covid misinformation on Joe Rogan’s podcast.
Harry and Meghan spoke out about their concerns over misinformation on Spotify but instead of pulling out of the deal, they said they were “committed” to working with the audio streaming platform.
According to a source close to the Sussexes, Meghan will now seek a return to the “entertainment sphere” but will this time have Harry with her.
Speaking to Heat World, the insider said: “Their ambition to make money has never been higher, nor has Meghan’s desire to return to the entertainment sphere with Harry by her side.

“There was no way she would pull out of the Spotify deal – it’s worth too much. There’s not a week that passes when they’re not getting tapped up by businesses and individuals who are willing to essentially write blank cheques in return for endorsement.
“They’re aware of the narrative that they’re trying to make a cheap buck at all costs, but they turn down a lot, and at this point, the criticism is just water off a duck’s back.”
Harry and Meghan have come under scrutiny over not publicly congratulating the Queen on her 70 years on the throne.

The Queen celebrated her Ascension Day on Sunday with Prince Charles offering his congratulations and Prince William, Kate Middleton and the family reportedly paid the Queen a visit on the day.
However, some thought Harry and Meghan may have produced a message from their Archewell organisation but no congratulatory message was produced.
It is also unknown whether or not the Queen received a private message from the Sussexes.
Archewell has been contacted for comment.
