Meghan Markle accused of being ‘complete narcissist and sociopath’ in new book
Palace aides thought Meghan Markle was a "complete narcissist and sociopath – basically unhinged", according to bombshell claims in a new book.
British historian Robert Lacey quoted one Kensington Palace staffer telling him: "Meghan portrayed herself as the victim, but she was the bully. People felt run over by her.
"They thought she was a complete narcissist and sociopath – basically unhinged."
The account appears in his new paperback, Battle of Brothers, which is being serialised in the Times. The book tells of how Prince William split his household from his brother Harry after a reported bust-up over Meghan.
A friend of William's was quoted saying: "William threw Harry out."
The second in line to the throne also felt “hurt” and “betrayed” and believed that Meghan seemed to be “stealing his beloved brother away from him”, according to the book.
Kensington Palace refused to comment on the claims in the book and Harry and Meghan's representative and legal team has been approached for comment.
In March it emerged that Jason Knauf, the communications secretary to the Cambridges and Sussexes, submitted an official email in October 2018 alleging that Meghan had been bullying members of staff.
Lawyers for the Sussexes denied the allegations, and a spokesman for the couple at the time said that they were the victims of a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation.

Harry, 36, is now said to have hung up on William when asked about the allegations against his former actress wife, 39.
Mr Lacey writes: “When Harry flared up in furious defence of his wife the elder brother persisted.
"Harry shut off his phone angrily, so William went to speak to him personally. The prince was horrified by what he had just been told about Meghan’s alleged behaviour, and he wanted to hear what Harry had to say.

"The showdown between the brothers was fierce and bitter.”
After the bullying allegations were made, William reportedly felt that they “linked unhappily” with the reservations he already had.
Mr Lacey continues: “William believed Meghan was following a plan — 'agenda' was the word he used to his friend — and the accusations he had just heard were alarming.

Oprah Winfrey says she's Meghan and Harry daughter Lilibet's godmother 'by default'
"Kate, he said, had been wary of her from the start.”
He quoted one Kensington Palace staff member as saying: “Meghan portrayed herself as the victim, but she was the bully. People felt run over by her. They thought she was a complete narcissist and sociopath — basically unhinged."
Lacey said rather than Harry being behind the Sussexes and Cambridges' split, "it was William who made the decisive move."
Harry and Meghan quit the Firm last March and now enjoy a lucrative life in the US with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
They have accused the Royal Family of racism and neglect in a string of explosive interviews starting with their Oprah tell-all aired in March.
Buckingham Palace responded to the allegations in the Oprah chat by saying "recollections may vary".
