McDonald's customer who ordered Big Mac with extra pickles gets more than she bargained for

A MCDONALD'S customer said she was stunned to find her Big Mac overflowing with pickles after asking for extra.

Kirstie Gray, 25, said she found "about 30" pickles spilling out of her burger after ordering a snack on Just Eat.

Pickle-loving Kirstie said she "couldn't be bothered cooking" on Monday night, placing her McDonald's order with the East Kilbride restaurant in Scotland.

She requested extra onions and gherkins in the hope of enjoying a few more toppings on her large Big Mac meal.

Kirstie said she opened the box and found a mound of green, sliced pickles spilling out from the bun and into the box.

After scooping the majority of the pickles off the burger, Kirstie chomped down on six of them, giving her partner a few, then binned the rest.

Kirstie shared the pickle pile-up online, with the caption: "Well McDonald's East Kilbride I think you understood the assignment of 'extra pickles'."

Other Facebook users responded, either balking at the excessively briny-burger or praising it for actually fulfilling the request.

Kirstie said: "When I opened the Big Mac box up I realised [just how many pickles there were].

"I was surprised but found it hilarious so I had to take a picture for everybody to see. They were inside the burger and pouring out of the side of it too.

"I scooped a lot of them out and left a generous amount, there were maybe about 30 in total."

Despite not being able to tackle the teetering mounds of gherkins, Kirstie said that it hadn't put her off requesting extras in future.

Kirstie said: "I would hope whoever put them on did it as a laugh as surely it would be a good bit of a jar of the pickles.

"It's not put me off asking for more pickles in future, I will still always ask for extra."

Some Facebook users were delighted.

One commented: "This is what extra pickles should look like."

Another wrote: "The dream."

One person also replied: "They would have been as well giving you the jar."

However, some weren't so keen on the pickle overload.

One commented: "Yuck", while another wrote: "Rancid."

McDonalds's and Just Eat have been contacted for comment.
