Man kills neighbour with crossbow while attempting to save him from dog attack
When a vicious pit bull attacked Massachusetts resident Joshua Jadusingh on his doorstep, his neighbour shot at the animal with a crossbow.
But, in a tragic accident, the crossbow bolt passed through the dog and killed Mr Jadusingh, 27.
A police report says that multiple 911 calls about “a reported mauling in progress” were made at around noon on Wednesday.
When police arrived they found “two mature male pitbull dogs – both with a history of being aggressive – engaging in a volatile confrontation.”
The report says that the two dogs attacked the officers, who had no choice but to shoot them.

The crossbow bolt had, police believe, passed through one of the dogs, then through Mr Jadusingh’s front door, and into his body – killing him.

The early indications are that the death is accidental and the neighbour is cooperating with authorities.
The dogs had attacked people in the past, District Attorney Andrea Harrington said at a news conference. One of the animals, named as Max, bit someone in Mr Jadusingh’s house in 2017 badly enough for the unnamed victim to need medical treatment.
