Man in his 50s dies after gunmen open fire at party where drill rap video was being filmed
A man in his 50s has died in hospital after he was injured in a shooting in Roydon, near Harlow, on Saturday, Essex Police said.
Cops were called to reports of a drive-by shooting outside a house at 5am today.
The man was taken to hospital on Saturday in a critical condition but died in hospital on Sunday afternoon.
Two women, both in their 20s, were also shot and treated for “non life-threatening” gunshot wounds after the attack in Harlow, Essex.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Greg Wood said: "This is now a murder investigation and we will continue our work to find those responsible for this man's death, and bring them to justice.
"Our investigation is progressing well and we're beginning to build up a picture of what happened, but we still need anyone with information to come forward.
"If you saw or heard anyone leaving the area in the moments after the incident, or have any CCTV or dash cam footage, please get in contact with the team.
"It doesn't matter how small or insignificant you think it is, it could be vital to our investigation."
A source said: “Some were filming a drill rap music video. I don’t know if that had any connection to the shooting.”
Forensic cops taped off an area around a parked car outside the party house.
Laughing gas canisters could be seen around the car.
Police have appealed for anyone with information or footage of the incident to contact Essex Police, referencing incident 169 of June 13.

Earlier this month, a boy, two, was left in a coma after he was shot.
His mum and two teens were also hurt in Brent, North London.
A man, 19, was held on suspicion of attempted murder.
