Man hit in July by motorcycles while crossing Aurora road has died

A man who was hit in July by two motorcycles while “illegally crossing” a street in Aurora has died.

The crash happened just before 9 p.m. July 11 near South Parker Road and South Peoria Street. The man, 34, died in a hospital Aug. 31, police said in a Wednesday news release.

The man was crossing Parker Road when the motorcyclists traveling north on Peoria Street struck him, according to the news release.

Both motorcyclists crashed after hitting the man, and one was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The man walking was in the hospital since the crash until he died. He will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
