A MAN has been charged with murder after a woman was beaten to death inside a London home.

Yahya Aboukar, 26, from Earlham Grove, will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court today following the death of Kirsty Louise Ashley, 29.

Police were called to an address in Earlham Grove, E7 about 11:55 on Boxing Day, Sunday, 26 December.

Police found the body of the 29-year-old woman inside the property with injuries.

A post-mortem examination on Monday, 27 December at East Ham Mortuary and found the cause of death to be blunt force trauma.

Aboukar and Kirsty were known to each other.

Next of kin have been informed and formal identification revealed the body to be Kirsty.

This charges follow an investigation by homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime.
