Major brawl ERUPTS at Brit festival as revellers trade punches in shock footage

Shocking social media footage shows around a dozen blokes grappling with one another on the wood chipped floor of a tent at the festival.

Attendees can be heard shouting “yeoooo” as the punches rain down from all directions.

One man appears to take a boot to the head as he laid on the ground attempting to take cover.

Four security guards in high-vis vests are then scrambled to the scene and frantically tried to stop the blazing row.

They can be heard shouting “stand back, stand back!” as the men – who appear to be intoxicated – are dragged up from the floor and separated from one another.

As more bouncers move in on the scene, one man wearing a gillet can be seen making a threatening first gesture as he is restrained.

Women can also be seen entering the fray trying to help as the brawl spreads out and overwhelms the bar area.

Just as things seem to calm down, another two blokes go at it before being thrown out of the tent by security.

“Unreal. F**ck me boys!”

Another man then appears to throw a ‘cheap shot’ at one of the bouncers before he falls to the ground and is dragged away from the area.

At this point one punter can be heard saying: “Unreal. F**ck me boys!”

A man wearing a body warmer then makes a last ditch attempt to re-enter the fray before he is stopped and chucked out by security.

The Balmoral Show is Northern Ireland’s largest agri-food event and takes place every May at Lisburn Park near Belfast.

Local agriculture is at the heart of the show, the festival’s website states, where farmers can enjoy trade stands and watch livestock compete for the coveted Balmoral championship title.

Organisers have launched an investigation following the incident and police are making enquiries.

A spokesman for the event said in a statement: “There was an altercation at the bar area, which was quickly brought under control by the event security personnel and we believe no one was seriously injured.”

“It is sad that a few people resorted to this behaviour when tens of thousands of people enjoyed a fun family day out.”
