Lottery miracle as woman scoops £82,000 prize after having dream about jackpot

A woman has won a £82,932 jackpot after dreaming about winning a huge lottery payday in her sleep.

The lucky player, who chose to stay anonymous, from Baltimore, USA, was heading home to her family from work when she decided to stop at a corner shop on the way.

She then recalled a recent dream in which she bought a winning instant ticket and decided to try out her luck, buying herself two lottery tickets.

The unnamed woman, who said she and her husband said they were planning a family trip at the time, said that she never expected to win anything despite her seemingly prophetic visions.

And after she scratched off the first ticket and realised it was not a winner, she decided to stash the other one away and scan it later.

When she scanned the second ticket, she was told to go home and double check the numbers to make sure she had won.

The woman then immediately called her sleeping husband and told him that she thinks she just won a great deal of money, after which they checked the ticket together.

They were over the moon when they realised she just scored $100,000 (£82,932), as she matched a winning number.

The couple revealed that the money will be used to pay for their daughter's university fees and to get a new car.

While the unnamed woman had the smarts to put the money for something sensible, the same can’t be said for British man Gerry Donaldson, whose story the Daily Starreportedon in late January.

Gerry was jailed for failing to pay a £12,000 court debt just 10 years after he won a hefty £250,000 off a scratch card.

He was convicted of growing cannabis, and ordered to pay a confiscation order.

The prosecutor involved in his case told the court that there were “no details” on where his winnings had gone.
