Longmont emergency crews responding to series of explosions
Longmont emergency crews are responding to a fire that appeared to follow a series of explosions near the 100 block of Marshall Place this morning.
The fire was reported at 6:40 a.m. at 134 Marshall Place, according to Longmont public safety spokeswoman Robin Ericson.
Witnesses reported that the fire, which appeared to be in a garage, was preceded by a series of loud explosions.
Ericson said Lashley Street is closed between Fifth and Sixth avenues while crews deal with the fire.
Officials have not identified a cause at this time, and did not say if there were any injuries.
This is a developing story that will be updated.
