Legal high ‘hippy crack’ leaves Instagram model ‘paralysed from waist down’
A legal high left a heavily-tattooed Instagram model paralysed from the waist down.
Tamika Dudley said she started using nitrous canisters as a "fun high" after trying them for the first time last year at home in Brisbane, Australia.
Inhaling the gas from a balloon after a canister has been cracked leaves users with a rush of euphoria that lasts for a couple of minutes.
The canisters – known as Hippy Crack – are available online for as little as £5.
But Tamika says the balloon landed her in hospital after a hit left her unable to feel her arms and legs.
She was left with permanent nerve damage from the waist down – but was able to regain use of her legs after months of gruelling physiotherapy sessions.

"I was bed ridden and sh***ing and p***ing in a pan.
"That honestly was the scariest most frightening thing I have ever experienced, knowing you can’t walk.
"Knowing you might never walk for the rest of your life. it’s like your whole life has been taken away from you.
"Not once in my head did I think ‘this is going to make me paralysed’ or f**k ‘I might end up like a vegetable forever’ not once did it cross my mind.
