Kent County Council: Dramatic moment ex-primary school teacher is confronted by vigilante group The Hunted One for trying to meet boy, 15, for sex

A PAEDO council worker who helped vulnerable children in care has confessed to trying to meet up with a 15-year-old boy for sex.

James Hope, a former primary school teacher, was snared by vigilantes from The Hunted One who filmed themselves confronting him.

Hope, 38, from Faversham in Kent was working as an assistant head teacher at Kent County Council's Virtual School – a service helping kids in care who had left school early, KentOnline reports.

Footage from September last year shows Hope smoking a cigarette whilst sitting near some bins as he waited for the youngster.

Member of The Hunted One who had set him up quiz him as they wait for cops to arrive.

One of the vigilantes holds up a photograph and says: "You're here to meet that child aren't you?"

Hope replies: "No."

The vigilantes replies: "You work for Kent County Council yeah? We know who you are."

Hope continues to deny the allegations put to him whilst the cops are on their way.

When the police arrive one of the officers says: "Obviously these guys explained what's going on.

"It's not very nice in front of a crowd, so come and sit in the back of our car and we'll have a good chat."

The cops then walk off with Hope before the footage ends.

The paedo, who worked as a teacher at St Mary's primary school in Faversham, admitted to meeting a boy under 16 for sex at Maidstone Magistrates' Court last Friday.

He has been released on bail and will be sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court.

Kent County Council have said Hope joined them last January but was immediately suspended following his arrest eight months later.

Hope was snared by the Hunted One in the same month shirtless paedo Nicholas Mansfield was confronted by the group.

The vigilantes aired a live stream of the moment they confronted a paedophile in Morrisons' car park in April this year.
