Kate ‘used Euro 2020 to get Prince George used to King’s duties’ expert claims
Kate Middleton is already preparing young Prince George for duties that he will experience as a future king, says a royal expert.
Prince George, eight, was seen wearing a suit in the Royal Box during the final of Euro 2020, which saw England take on Italy.
His rare appearance at the event was said to have been early preparation for the duties he will likely have in the future as well as to see his father working in a royal capacity.
According to royal author Duncan Larcombe, Prince William had wanted George to wear a football shirt for the occasion but Kate was the one who insisted on a suit because of royal duty.
Speaking to OK!, he said: “William was apparently keen on the idea [of wearing a football shirt], but it was Kate, the former commoner, who said no. She was showing George that being ’on duty’ requires a different approach… he has to learn to don the royal armour.
“That doesn’t mean hiding his personality or feelings though – so George was encouraged to leap up and celebrate England scoring, to roar and wave and hug his mum and dad like any normal lad. And even to shed a tear when it all ended in heartbreak.”
Kate is devoted to her children and Mr Larcombe believes she is keen on planning for their futures.

Kate Middleton still finds one aspect of duties 'challenging' due to being 'introvert'
Mr Larcombe believes that not only is Kate helping William prepare to be king but she is also planning and helping George for when he takes the throne.
He added: “George is only just beginning to understand his destiny, but Kate has got the journey planned.”
Kate is now getting ready to celebrate her birthday at the weekend as she turns 40.
Although it is a big milestone, it is expected that Kate will have a ‘scaled back’ celebration with her family in comparison to the celebrity event Meghan Markle had for her 40th birthday.

Speaking to US magazine, Royal Family expert Jonathan Sacerdoti said: “I may get a bit of grief for this, but we saw how Meghan conducted herself for her 40th and we can wonder whether or not Catherine is going to be doing the same thing.
"I don't think we will be seeing anything similar from Princess Catherine.
"I think that we will be seeing something a lot lower key, is what we have been told."
