Kate Middleton’s uncle defends her as Meghan’s crying claims ‘not in her nature’

Kate Middleton's uncle defended the Duchess of Cambridge against Meghan Markle's claim that the mum-of-three made her cry.

Meghan stated Prince William’s wife made the claim that Kate made her bawl during a bridesmaid fitting ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry during her talk with U.S. chat show host Oprah Winfrey.

Oprah asked the Duchess of Sussex about a rumour that Kate had cried while at the fitting, but Meghan said it was actually the other way round and Buckingham Palace refused to correct the claim.

Prince William’s wife has not spoken out publicly about the incident but her uncle, Gary Goldsmith, did issue a retort.

He told the Mail on Sunday that Kate "doesn't have a mean bone in her body" and making someone cry is "simply not in her nature."

Mr Goldsmith said: "I’ve known Kate since she was born and she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. It’s just simply not in her nature."

The defensive uncle added that he would "fight for Kate's honour" until the day he dies, adding that she is the most "spectacular person" he has ever met.

Mr Goldsmith went on to claim that Kate is "even lovelier on the inside than the outside" and said if anyone had a hissy fit, "it would have been Meghan."

Gary, who is the brother of Carole Middleton, Kate's mother, said if anything Kate would have been trying to "make the peace" during the fitting.

He said: "Kate would have been trying to make the peace.

"She’s even lovelier on the inside than on the outside. If anyone had a hissy fit, it must have been Meghan."

Meghan also claimed an unnamed senior Royal asked Prince Harry how dark Archie's skin would be prior to his birth.

The suggestion rocked the world and the Queen was forced to publicly release a statement as racist allegations swirled.

Her Majesty said: "The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.

"Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members."
