Kate Middleton’s two ‘off-script’ hugs in one day could ‘prove Meghan wrong’
Kate Middleton went “off-script” twice in a single day by hugging two people in a move that could prove the narrative pushed by Harry and Meghan wrong, a royal expert has claimed.
The Princess of Wales was seen hugging Captain Preet Chandi, a British army medic who had just returned from a 70 day expedition of Antarctica where she travelled 1600 km, and Jim Embury, her former history teacher, on the same day last week.
Royal expert Daniela Elser said that these “off-script” moments could prove that the way the Princess of Wales was portrayed by Harry and Meghan was wrong.

Else said that the Princess of Wales’ hugs “oh-so-subtly” hit back at the Sussexes' portrayal of her as "standoffish" and "cold".
She added that while it would be “delicious” to see the photos as pre-planned, she believed that the Princess of Wales made some spur of the moment decisions to hug them both.
“The Great Hug Double was obviously a product of nothing but serendipity; the universe deciding to put two people she clearly has very warm feelings towards in her path”, she added.
Kate’s relationship with the Sussexes was made out to be frosty several times in both the Netflix documentary and Harry's memoir Spare.
In the documentary, which was called Harry & Meghan, Meghan said of her first meeting with Kate Middleton: “I was a hugger, always being a hugger. I didn’t realise that that is really jarring for a lot of Brits.

“I guess I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside, carried through on the inside. That was surprising to me."
Harry wrote in his memoir Spare, published earlier this year, that when the Sussexes and the Waleses appeared at their first joint appearance in early 2018, it “left a little mark” after Kate only “reluctantly” shared her lip gloss with the former Suits star and then “grimaced.”
He went on to write that Kate told Meghan during an air-clearing session, that Meghan had offended her by talking about her hormones, saying: “We’re not close enough for you to talk about my hormones."
