Incredible moment massive ship just scrapes through narrow part of River Thames with INCHES to spare

THIS is the incredible moment a massive ship just scrapes through a narrow part in the River Thames – leaving just INCHES to spare.

The tense moment was captured on camera by a stunned onlooker – as the Dutch vessel squeezed through the tiny slot near Canary Wharf.

As the ship made its way through, several floater balloons were burst as it crept through the gap.

Mehra, 37, a senior manager at Amazon, watched in amazement as the HNLMS Tromp ship got through the tiny gap in the Thames.

He said that the incredible time-lapsed footage took several minutes to capture.

Mehra told MyLondon: "I saw the vessel come in a few days ago, took a few pictures and saw them burst one of those floater balloons when the vessel squeezed to the side too hard.

"I see large vessels come and go on a regular basis but this one was definitely one of the largest in recent months."

This comes as a multimillion-pound super-yacht scraped under a rail bridge — with just inches to spare.

The 260ft MY Galactica was being moved to the North Sea from the Dutch shipyard where it was built.

The vessel also had to squeeze through river locks.

The shipbuilders, Heesen, had to wait for the perfect weather and tide conditions to be able to complete the voyage.

As the 80-metre super-yacht approached each obstacle, laser beams were used to see if it would be able to pass through.

Its price tag is confidential but it is known to be seven figures or above.
