An illegal immigrant knifed his fiancée to death in Austria when she mocked him for having a small penis, it has emerged.

Iraqi Daban K. stabbed his partner after she told him his penis was too small and said he was ‘not a real man’.

The defendant’s attacked on Nagsha R., who was a mother-of-five, came even after she sheltered him from the Austrian authorities.

Police were hunting the Kurdish Iraqi national in relation to a previous GBH conviction.

The 50-year-old hid Daban K. in her flat in Vienna-Leopoldstadt, a district in the capital, when he ignored a deportation order to be sent back to Iraq from Austria.

After he was arrested for murder, the 40-year-old blamed the attack, which saw him stab his partner at least four times in the neck, on her for mocking his masculinity and being unfaithful.

According to local media, the migrant had received a deportation order that he ignored and meant he should not have been in Austria when he murdered Nagsha R. in 2017.

He was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison by a court in the Austrian capital Vienna on Tuesday.

Daban K., who’s full name has not been released due to Austrian privacy laws, said in a conversation with court psychiatrist, Sigrun Rossmanith, that he was also locked in a ‘penis battle’ with his fiancee.

He told the court: ‘She was a very good woman to me, but she repeatedly insulted me.

‘She cheated on me three times with other men and did not want to have sex with me anymore. One day she told me that my penis was too small.’

Austrian authorities wanted to arrest and deport Iraqi national Daban K. since 2011, but his partner who he went on to murder was sheltering him

During the case, Daban argued in court that he had acted out of self-defence claiming that his fiancee had grabbed a knife first and had been trying to stab him.

According to the defendant, his fiancee, who has also not been fully named due to privacy laws, told him: ‘You don’t have any chest hair and you are not a real man.’

Daban K. said: ‘The punishment is too high. I cannot return to my native country.’

Neighbours heard his fiancee screaming: ‘Help, save me, he wants to butcher me.’

The defendant, who is originally from Iraq, later complained about the severity of the sentence, after the court did not believe his version of events.

Daban K. arrived in Austria in 2005 and his temporary right of residence was withdrawn in 2011 after he amassed three criminal convictions.

But he did not return to his homeland and instead filed a fresh asylum application in 2014, which was rejected, according to Austrian newspaper Der Standard.
