IKEA has urgently recalled a popular children’s fishing game due to ‘reports of small metal rivets coming loose’ from the contraption – which could be a choking risk for small children.
The Swedish furniture giant has stressed that no related injuries have been reported and that the recall is a precautionary measure.
The product is marketed as a ‘BLÅVINGAD fishing game’ and sees children use magnet rods to scoop up wooden sea creature shapes.
A statement from the supplier reads: ‘IKEA asks all customers who own the BLÅVINGAD fishing game, multicolour, to stop using it and return it to an IKEA store for a full refund.
